Authority was founded in 2005 and has been growing ever since. We are now a team of three full-time staffers supported by a network of freelancers and have worked with some of the biggest names and brands in the music business.

Artists we have worked with include Scissor Sisters, The Twang, The Courteeners, Christina Aguilera, Bright Eyes and Andrea Corr. Our roster currently features Duffy, Elbow, Paolo Nutini, Kate Nash, Anastacia, White Lies, Morrissey and many more.

David was a music journalist for ten years between 1995 and 2005. Most of this time was spent as a web editor at Capital Radio and London Indie Station Xfm, pioneering several then-groundbreaking developments such as offering music for download over the internet and e-mailing people in large numbers.
